Hunger Game Past Arenas: Poison Paradise (50th Games)For the second Quarter Quell, the Capitol decided to keep up with their tradition of mixing things up in the arena every 25th year. For the second quarter quell, each district was to reap twice the amount of tributes. Meaning 24 tributes were to meet their match in the arena, not just 12, in a gorgeous arena made of meadows and lakes and a single snow-capped mountain, but it’s beauty came at a poisonous price.
It was most surprising to see a victor rise from the furthest of districts. Haymitch Abernathy, of 12 fought bravely and harder than any tribute in history. Never since, has a tribute won from district 12, but what a tremendous fight Abernathy triumphed.

Finnick Odair is something of a living legend in Panem. Since he won the Sixty-Fifth Hunger Games when he was only fourteen, he’s still one of the youngest victors. Being from District 4, he was a Career, so the odds were already in his favor, but what no trainer could claim to have given him was his extraordinary beauty. Tall, athletic, with golden skin and bronze-colored hair and those incredible eyes.
